  1.             PRINTING the PEDIGREE & FAMILY GROUP SHEETS (PED & FGS)
  2. 1. 
  3. 8 1/2" x 11" format
  4.         Set the printer to 17 char/inch (Compressed print), 6 lines/inch
  5. 14" x 8 1/2" format
  6.         Set the printer to 10 char/inch,  8 lines/inch
  7. 14" x 11" format
  8.         Set printer to 10 char/inch,  6 lines/inch
  9. (the FAMILY TIES program is installed to automatically send the printer codes)

  11. 2. If there are extra lines in the FGS or PED when the underlines are printed
  12. then set the printer to NOT add a LF if only a CR is received. ie the computer
  13. will send all LFs when needed. (LF=linefeed,  CR=carriage return)
  14.  
  15. 3. ^P is the CTRL key and the P key, pressed together - you will see no 
  16.    character on the screen but the printer will print all the subsequent 
  17.    characters that appear on the screen - now enter the next line
  18. TYPE PED.FRM^P  <ret>
  19. when the printer is finished enter another ^P to turn off the printer.
  20. Repeat for the other .FRM files. (FGS.FRM and FGS-LDS.FRM)
  21. (If you use  a word processor then turn off all margins - top, bottom & left
  22.  for Wordstar use .mt0, .mb0, .po0, .op)
